ADAMARIS “ADA” LOPEZ (they/she/he) is a vibrant, genderfluid, Puerto Rican performer and creative who grew up in a Spanglish-speaking household in sunny Miami, FL. Ada leads with light, love, and a whimsical spirit that permeates their creative endeavors. They feel passionate about using their artistry not only as a means of expression but as a powerful tool for connection.They strive to bring humanity into every artistic space, building bridges with both audiences and fellow artists alike.
Ada's journey into the world of dramatic theatricality began with late-night telenovelas and the classic movie musical The Sound of Music, shared with their Abuela. Ada's first recorded performances were impromptu living room shows, where they would gather their stuffed animals and any available family members to watch, sometimes featuring their brothers as special guests. Their love for performing was solidified during their tween years when they starred in their first musical, which happened to be The Sound of Music. This experience sparked their curiosity to further explore the world of theatre, a pursuit they have passionately continued ever since.
A recent graduate of Oklahoma City University, Adamaris earned a Bachelor of Music in Music Theatre, an achievement that underscores their dedication to their craft. Some of their theatre credits include Nina in In the Heights, Ilsa in Spring Awakening and Mama Noah in Children of Eden.
When they’re not performing, Ada finds joy in crafting, making jewelry, painting, upcycling, and watching Trolls World Tour! They are also deeply passionate about mental health advocacy, believing that taking care of our hearts and minds is essential for living honestly and creating beautiful things for years to come.
